“There are so many fragile things, after all. People break so easily, and so do dreams and hearts.” -Neil Gaiman

I have always said that as yoga teachers, practitioners of love and light, we hold space. pranapiloga offers our commUNITY safe, sacred space to practice the ancient wisdom that yoga offers. For about a year and a half now, I have been focused on self-inquiry. Svadhyaya (self-study) is a Niyama (moral observance) part of the 8-Limbs of Yoga. (See our Yoga tab for more).

According to Rolf Sovik, Svadhyaya, reveals itself in the image of the ocean and its waves: the substance of every wave is the sea itself. We are exactly all that we are made of and from. Diving in, I am discovering how much more there is to discover, uncover, explore, ponder, address and own. I now understand that there are ways to handle each situation more compassionately, with even more awareness than I previously practiced.

We are doing the hard work, moving beyond asana (postures). We are journeying in and journeying on. We are fragile, we do break, we are also resilient and we support each other, through the messy bits and the glorious bits. I invite you to join us and to flow from your heart always. Near or far, you are always in my heart and a vital part of our shared consciousness.
